This morning we all slept in and it felt great. It was cloudy and pretty cool outside, so we decided to go shopping. Henley hung out in the Bumbo and waited on us to get ready.
We started off at The Wharf and walked around to the different stores, which appeared to be all specialty shops. Harper and I rode the ferris wheel and she thought it was fun. She was so excited the whole time we were going around. I did get a pair of flip flops for summer that I can wait to wear.
We ate lunch at The Shrimp Basket and it was delicious. It feels like all we've done since we've been here is eat, but we have eaten some good food and this Boland bunch likes to eat (We'd better take advantage of it because Blake will want to get back on track eating good when we get back).
Ready to eat...
My fried combo platter-stuffed crab, crab claws and popcorn shrimp with shrimp cole slaw, ranch potato salad and hushpuppies. I know it's so not healthy, but it's oh so good!
After lunch we went to the outlets to do some more shopping. We got the girls some cute summer clothes and I got a pair of pants. We didn't do too much damage so Blake was happy (it was actually Blake's idea to get the girls some summer clothes)!
We made it back to the condo right before sunset, so we changed, and went down to the beach to get a few pictures. You can't go to the beach and not take beach pictures...right? It was really cold and very windy so Henley didn't like being cold. I only packed us a few long sleeve shirts and we've worn them all! Harper doesn't ever mind the cold weather. She'll wear a tank top anytime!
It's so hard to get both of the girls looking and smiling at the camera at the same time.
Harper is happy and Henley is upset.
I love these two!
and I love this prec too!
Harper decided that she wanted to put her "bathing soup" on. She has had so much fun playing on the balcony. It's a pretty big balcony and she's ran back and forth and talked to her "friends" out there. It was "Brooke's" Birthday, so she made a cake, and we sang to "Brooke". "Lassie", her new "friend", was there as well. Her imagination is so funny and it's a lot of fun to just sit and listen to her.
Next, Harperwanted to go swimming. Thankfully, there is an indoor pool here and the water was warm. This was Henley's first time in a swimming pool and she seemed to like it.
She probably thought she was in a big bathtub.
Harper is getting brave. She jumped off the side to Blake several times and loved it. She even went under water once but wasn't really too sure about that afterwards.
This is Harper's little boy, Mason. She was holding him and rocking back and forth while she sang Hush Little Baby to him. She's such a good little mommy.
And last, but not least...today is my brother in law-Keith's-birthday. Happy 29th to you and we hope you had a great day! Can't wait to see you soon!
Well, our beach trip will officially end tomorrow as we will be heading back to Moody. It's been a blast. Mobile was more interesting than I thought, and we had fun getting to spend the week with Blake while he was out of town for work. Too bad we won't get to go with him on next month's trip - Long Beach, California! Oh well, maybe we can head out again with him. I sure know we'll miss him when he is gone!
