My Uncle Alan was an awesome man. He was always so kind and caring. He was a good looking Santa too! He went to be with the Lord yesterday. I'm glad that he is not suffering anymore, but he will sure be missed by many. Please keep the Holmes family in your prayers. I hope God gives his sweet wife and kids the comfort and strength they need during this time.
Harper wasn't too sure about Santa. It was funny seeing her act like this around Uncle Alan. When I was little, I was so scared of him. I didn't like his beard and I would tell them to chain him up before I would come in the house. As I grew older and realized that he was for sure nothing to be scared of...I started to really like him! He was my favorite Great Uncle! I love you Uncle Alan and will see you again one day. Hope you and Grandmother are having a ball up in heaven!

Our hearts are sad right now, but we know that he is in a far better place. I agree that him, Grandmother and Granny are rejoicing together! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
